Stanley Christian, 86, died Sept. 22, 2012, in Phoenix. He was born in Littlefield Texas, but his family moved to Phoenix when he was an infant. He was a resident of Pinetop for over 25 years before moving back to Phoenix for health reasons.
He was a veteran of the Army Air Corp and served in WWII. He was employed by and retired from Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph Company. He loved the White Mountains and when younger was an avid fisherman and camper.
He is survived by his daughters: Diana Carney of Chloride, Kathy Fields of Tustin Calif.; nephew Douglas Christian of Scottsdale; and four grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Margie Ann, Curits, and sibling, Curtis, Jr.
No memorial service is planned and the cremation will be private. His daughters wish to thank Jean Ostberg and her daughter Jan Leahey for their compassion, care, and love they unselfishly gave to their father.
