Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Tuesday, September 25, 2012 - Richard William Maltese passed away Sept. 17, 2012 at his residence in Lake Havasu City at the age of 69. Richard was born July 4, 1943, in Hoboken, N.J., to Angelo and Charlotte (Gulbach) Maltese. After graduating high school, Richard enlisted in the United States Army, proudly serving his country for two years in active duty followed by four years in the Reserves. Richard moved to Lake Havasu City eight years ago from New Jersey and most recently worked across the lake tending bar at the casino. Richard was a great chef who had a passion for cooking and loved to make people laugh. Richard is survived by his son, Richard P. Maltese and wife, Noel, of Nolensville, Tenn.; and his two grandchildren, Logan and Chloe Maltese. No services are scheduled. Richard’s wishes were to be cremated and his remains will be laid to rest near his son at the Middle Tennessee Sate Veterans Cemetery in Nashville.
