Kathleen "Kathy" Ross passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012 at Havasu Regional Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. She was born April 14, 1935 at Ketchan, Saskatchewan, Can. to Harry and Jenny Gulka. After graduating high school in Saskatchewan, she moved to Ottawa, Ont. to start her adult life. She met and married Patrick D. Ross March 27, 1959 in Detroit, Mich. They raised their family in the Detroit area. After raising her children she started a passion for golf and adventured into cosmetology. She became a nail technician and enjoyed working in the field for some time. Upon retiring in 1998, they moved to Lake Havasu City, where she immensely enjoyed hanging out on the golf course and held her own with her good friends. Kathy was active in the community through various charitable work, donating her time and services. Her husband, Patrick, passed away in 2010. Kathy is survived by three children, Pamela Sickman, of Devore, Calif., Lisa (Greg) McIntosh, of Astoria, Ore., Patrick F. Ross, of Hilliard, Ohio; three grandchildren, Chris Sickman, Sarah Sickman, Melissa Ross; two brothers, Vern (Flo) Gulka, of B.C., CA. and Ernie (Betty) Gulka, of A.B., CA. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Patrick; sister, Ann; and son-in-law, Rick Sickman. Services will be held Nov. 17, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Community Presbyterian Church.
