VERDUGO, Octavio N.

West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Friday, September 28, 2012 Octavio N. Verdugo, 84, of Goodyear died Aug. 21, 2012, in Goodyear. Mr. Verdugo was born Feb. 29, 1928, in Valedon, N.M. He moved to Arizona in 1986. He worked as a laborer and was a private in the army during World War II. He is survived by one daughter, Anna Bustard; three sons, Raymond Barcenas of Buckeye, Edward Gonzalez of Tolleson and Ruben Michel of Lordsburg, N.M.; two sisters, Petra Marquez of San Manuel and Refugia Barrio of Las Cruces, N.M.; one brother, Ysidro Verdugo of Lordsburg, N.M.; and 13 grandchildren. Services will be Oct. 6 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lordsburg, N.M.
