West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Friday, September 28, 2012 Charlene (nee Washington) Jackson, 62, of Yuba-Sutter, Calif., and formerly of Avondale died Sept. 7, 2012, in Yuba-Sutter. Mrs. Jackson was born Sept. 2, 1950, in Chandler to Rebecca Washington and Lanier Washington. She attended Avondale Elementary School and was a graduate of Agua Fria High School. She married Langston C. Jackson Jr. Sept. 21, 1972. She was a homemaker until her children were old enough to attend school and she worked as a cashier in the Air Force Commissary Services, an Air Force civil service medical billing clerk and as a private industry medical billing clerk. She was preceded in death by her son, Langston C. Jackson III and her daughter, Rebecca Ann Lanae Campbell. She is survived by one son, Michael A. Jackson of Yuba City, Calif.; her mother, Rebecca Washington of Avondale; four brothers, Curtis Washington of Waddell, Jerry Washington of Glendale, Donald Washington of Phoenix and Douglas Washington of Waddell; and two sisters, Mary Washington of Avondale and Julia Pless of Waddell.
