Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, December 26, 1974 Metz services Saturday Vera L. Metz, 64, died in Phoenix Saturday after a lingering illness. She was born on Oct. 14, 1910, in Dufer, Ore., and moved to Phoenix in 1917. She had lived in Prescott for 36 years and worked for Dr. E. A. Born for 14 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter Five in Phoenix, and a member and president of the Daughters of the Nile in Prescott. Survivors include one son, Robert, of San Jose, Calif.; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. James Brush of Phoenix. Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Memory Chapel with burial to follow at Mt. View Cemetery. There will be no visitation and family suggest memorials to The Crippled Children's Fund in care of El Zaribah Temple 1502 W. Washington, Phoenix, Ariz. 85006, or The Cancer Society, 109 Thumb Butte Road, Prescott, Ariz. 86301.
