Spencer Died Monday
Theodore S. Spencer, 75, died at his home in Black Canyon City Monday.
He was born on Oct. 9, 1899 in Idaho and came to Flagstaff in 1922 and lived there until his retirement in 1960. He was co-founder of the Isham-Spencer Insurance agency in Flagstaff in 1926 and remained active in that agency until 1960. He was a member of the board of directors of the Museum of Northern Arizona and became a Director Emeritus in 1960.
He was a life member of the Rotary Club of Flagstaff, member of the Masonic Lodge, board member of the Raymond Foundation of Flagstaff, active on the Pow Wow Committee and member of the Flagstaff City Council and the Flagstaff School board. He was active in Boy Scouts and the Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his widow, Pauline, of Black Canyon City; four daughters, Mrs. Bill Widman, Mrs. Kent Etter, Mrs Mike Scott, all of Flagstaff; Mrs. Ruth Gordon, of Lake Montezuma; and 13 grandchildren.
Services will be announced at a later date. Ruffner Funeral Home made cremation arrangements. Family suggests memorials to the Heart Fund, 2205 Nolte Drive, Prescott, Ariz. 86301.
