Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Saturday, January 24, 1976 Prescott Woman Found Dead in Car PRESCOTT - Yavapai County sheriffs deputies are investigating the death of a Prescott woman whose body was found Friday in her automobile on an isolated mining road near Walker. The body of Marie Holly Sprague, about 30, was found by her husband, Charles, who told officers he started searching for his wife when he discovered that she was missing about 1 a.m. Detective Sgt. Ed Mart said evidence at the scene indicates that the death may have been a suicide. An investigation is being conducted. According to Mart, a hose had been connected to the vehicle's exhaust and run through the left front window. He said an autopsy will be performed. Mart also said investigators have been unable to question Sprague.
