Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, December 26, 1974 John Mayes Rites in Tucson Mr. John E. Mayes, 80, grandfather of DPS officer, Ronnie Mayes of Prescott, died Saturday, Dec. 7 at Tucson. He resided at Jerome from 1929 to 1949 when he moved to Tucson. Survivors include; his widow, Ethel of Tucson; a son, Raymond of Tucson; six grandchildren; three brothers, Clarence G. of Tucson, Thomas G. Birmingham; Ala; Harvard E. of Warrior, Ala. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11 at Arizona Mortuary Funeral Chapel, Tucson. Officiating will be Dr. John McBain of First Southern Baptist Church at Tucson. Interment will be at Tucson Memorial Park, Eastlawn. Masonic graveside services will be held there. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today, at the chapel located at University and Stone Ave. in Tucson.
