TILLMAN, Richard


Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona, Sunday, September 30, 2012 Richard Tillman, 84, passed away September 27, 2012 at his residence in St. Johns, AZ. He was born May 11, 1928 at Anderson Pass, Arizona, the son of Albert Lee Tillman and Mable Mae Huls Tillman. He served his country in the US Army from 1946-1948. Dick was a cowboy and heavy equipment operator who worked on ranches belonging to Babbitts, Richardsens, Platts, Chauncys, and Pattersons. He was a devoted husband, great dad, and loving grandfather. Dick was an honest man, a hard worker, and a great neighbor. He is survived by his daughters: Renee Fowler, Alaska; Cheryl Wood, Florida; Debra Seeley, Eagar; and Vaughn Newman, Seligman; 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Dick is preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Jean Evans Tillman; his parents; brother William Albert Tillman; sisters Dorsie Ann Tillman, Mary Elizabeth Bennett, Beulah Mae Dennison, Ima Jean Kamboris; and daughter Leola Mae Tillman. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 30, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Burnham Mortuary, Eagar. A Graveside Service will be held Monday, October 1, 2012 at the Winslow Cemetery in Winslow, AZ at 2:00 p.m.. Burnham Mortuary, St. Johns, handled the arrangements.
