MISENSOL, Carol


The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Thursday, October 04, 2012 Carol Dean Misensol, 65, of Cottonwood, passed away on September 28, 2012 of natural causes. She had been employed at Cameron Trading Post for almost 25 years and was featured in the September 2002 issue of Arizona Highway magazine. She also taught Native American history and loved to share her respect and knowledge of the Navajo culture. She enjoyed spending time at Cameron showing her friends and family the many petroglyphs to be found there. Moving to Cottonwood, Carol became a longtime member of the First Assembly of God church in Camp Verde. Attending regularly, she faithfully participated in the church’s prayer groups and women’s bible studies. Carol was loved by many at Cameron Trading Post and in the communities of Cottonwood and Camp Verde. Carol was preceded in death by her mother Geraldine Nease, and father, Bill Misensol. She is survived by cousins; John Birdwell Jr. (Bud) of Lakeside, California; Doris Ragan of Cottonwood; cousins Steve Birdwell and Lisa Hopewell of Lakeside, California; and cousins Tami Lobur of Cottonwood; Leslie Ragan of Camp Verde; Greg Ragan of Castle Rock Colorado; Bo Ragan of Dewey Arizona. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 11:00 am at First Assembly of God church, 918 W. Hwy 260 in Camp Verde.
