The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Thursday, October 04, 2012 Patricia Jean (Pat) Fitzgerald entered eternal life on Sept. 30, 2012. Pat was the loving daughter of Ralph and Frances Sloan. She was born in Reno, Nev., on Dec. 20, 1956. She grew up in Downey, Calif. She lived in Prescott, Ariz., with her husband Ray. Pat will be missed by everyone blessed to know her. She adored her family and friends, and invested her passion into Arizona waterways. She loved nature, art, rocks, wildflowers, the ocean, mountains, beaches and traveling. She was a source of strength for many and brought joy to the hearts of many. She loved animals, especially dogs. She cherished the simple things in life. She was honest, sincere, gracious and lived a life of integrity. Pat loved to laugh and always wore a big, big smile. She was especially happy and free when riding motorcycles. Pat was one of the most compassionate and forgiving people you could ever meet. She always left everyone she spent time with on a positive note and she encouraged everyone to follow their dreams. She believed anything was possible and she inspired people to do their best. She loved the song "Shooting Star." Her amber golden brown eyes sparkled like the northern lights. She is survived by husband Ray Fitzgerald; mother Frances Sloan; brother Ross Sloan; children Chief Warrant Officer III Jerod Murphy, Jackie Pennino, Constance Fitzgerald and Thomas Fitzgerald; and grandchildren Nick Murphy, Alexis Murphy, Christian Murphy, Jerod Murphy Junior and Dominic Pennino. All are invited to attend Pat's celebration of life 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at Willow Lake Park in Prescott, Heritage Park Road past the zoo to the hilltop cabana.
