West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Tuesday, October 02, 2012 Irvin Shafer Hamilton, 83, of Avondale died Sept. 26, 2012. Mr. Hamilton was born June 28, 1929, in Salisbury, N.C., to Sidney and Thelma Hamilton. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy. He was a minister and member of Southern Baptist. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Thelma Guttery. He is survived by his wife, Betty L. Hamilton; five daughters, Patricia Schultz, Kathy Borquez, Billie Jo Orola, Cynthia Borquez and Donna Flowers; two sons, David Perez and Joshua Perez; two sisters, Shirley Kedozria and Peggy Pilgram; one brother, June Hamilton; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road in Goodyear. Interment will follow at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N.
