West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Friday, October 05, 2012 Dorothy L. Olson, 75, of Buckeye died Sept. 20, 2012, at her home. Mrs. Olson was born June 25, 1937, in Visalia, Calif., to Ira and Minnie Lee McCollum. She graduated from Oakland High in January 1956. She played the clarinet and lettered in band. She was a cosmetologist, part owner of the Park It Here Tavern and secretary and co-owner of numerous commercial fishing boats in Alaska. She married her husband, Louis, in North Pole, Alaska, in 1969. She is survived by her husband, Louis E. Olson; one daughter, Bonnie Kartes of Buckeye; three sons, Doug Bowen of Shoreline, Wash., Tom Bowen of Anacortes, Wash., and Paul Olson of Sedro-Woolley, Wash.; and six grandchildren.
