HOMRIGHAUSEN, Lee Allen (Bud)


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 10/05/2012 Lee Allen “Bud” Homrighausen, 87, of Phoenix died Sept. 27, 2012. He was born March 20, 1925, in Phoenix. Bud graduated from North High School and attended University of Arizona studying agriculture. His career path began with Arizona Public Service as an engineer for 18 years and was a dairy farmer in the Tolleson area which included serving on the board of directors of United Dairymen of Arizona and a lifetime member of the Holstein Friesian Association. He was also a member of the White Mountain United Methodist Church, Show Low Elks Lodge, the United States Army Reserves and a volunteer for the Show Low Police Department Senior Patrol. Bud and his wife Phyllis spent their retirement years in Show Low, golfing, fishing, enjoying friends, family and the beautiful White Mountains. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Bud is survived by his wife, Phyllis of 61 years; son Mike; daughter Karen Swanson (Roger); three grandchildren: Megan, Ryan and Destiny and sister Neva Bell. Services will be held Saturday, Oct 6 with visitation at 10 a.m. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. at Desert Foothills United Methodist Church, 2156 E. Liberty Lane in Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bud’s name to White Mountain United Methodist Church, 261 North Fifth Street, Show Low, AZ 85901. Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary handled arrangements.
