The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 10/09/2012 Helen Farr Broadbent died peacefully Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, in her home in St. Johns. She was born March 17, 1925, to Dewey and Esther Farr in Holbrook. Helen grew up in St. Johns and married her sweetheart Jesse M. Broadbent Feb. 21, 1945. She loved people, her family and she loved serving in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served all of her life in many positions including, stake primary president, missionary and temple worker. She is survived by her husband Jess, and seven children: Eric (Charlotte), Ann Goddard, Steven (Kathy), David (Janet), Richard (Merrilee), Marilyn (Randy) Oveson and Louise (Patrick) Baca; 32 grandchildren and 59 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth, granddaughter Cecilee Goddard, sisters Ramona and Letty Lou, brother David and her parents. Funeral services for Helen will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, in the St. Johns Downtown Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with Bishop Travis Heap of the Salem Ward officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. also at the Downtown Chapel Relief Society room and Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. in the Relief Society room.
