Legacy Obituaries Angel Moya 1920 - 2009 Angel Moya, 88, of Globe, AZ passed away Sept. 28, 2009 at VA Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Virginia Moya; his five children Barbara Clema (John), Terry Moya (Roseann), David and George Moya and Sharon Munoz (Eddie) all of Globe; his siblings John and Peter Moya, Dolores Soltaro and Mary Ellen Torrez; his 12 grandchildren; his 23 great-grandchildren; and his one great, great grandchild. Angel was born in Globe Dec. 5, 1920. He was preceded in death by his parents Angel and Teresa Moya; his sisters Catherine, Leonarda and his brother Manuel. Angel grew up in Globe. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his children and spending time with his family. As a proud veteran, Angel fought in WWII and served in the US Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Essex. He retired after 20 years of service with the US Postal Service as Superintendent of Postal Operations in Globe. A celebration of Angel's life will be held Oct. 9, 2009 at Holy Angels Catholic Church. The rosary will be held at 3:30 pm followed by the service at 4:00 pm and the interment will take place at the National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix at a later date.
