Alice Florine (Rene) Vandevort, daughter of William and Zoe Beason, was born on a farm in Brock, Neb., April 9, 1926. Rene's health became such that it was necessary for her to move to Arizona Pioneers' Home. It was there that she passed away on Saturday evening, Oct. 6, 2012. 

Rene grew up with her husband, Harry, and moved to Arizona in 1952. She is survived by her son, Dennis of Crestview, Fla.; daughter, Ann (Randy) Johnson of Chino Valley, Ariz.; grandchildren, Justin Johnson, Sean, Nicole, April and Sarah Vandevort; and nine great-grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at Hampton Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Hospice Family Care, 3195 Stillwater Drive, Prescott, AZ 86305, in Alice's name.
