BAYLIE, Beverly


Parker Pioneer, Parker, AZ - Published on October 10, 2012 - Beverly Baylie, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and "G.G." died June 27, 2012 in Longmont, Colorado at the age of 91. Bev was born on August 10, 1920 in Long Beach, Calif. She moved to Parker, AZ in 1968 and was a resident for 44 years. Shortly after arriving in Parker, Bev met the love of her life, Don Baylie. They were married in Las Vegas in 1971 and were together until his death in 2007. Bev was a very active person who enjoyed being involved in the community. She enjoyed living and boating on the Colorado River, camping in the desert, off-road racing, dancing and in general having a good time. Bev enjoyed volunteering at the Hospital Thrift Store, with blood banks, at voting polls, at the Senior Center, and the Potpourri swap meet. Bev was a member of the United Methodist Church, Past President and life member of the BPOE Doe's, Parker Women's Civic Club, life member and past president of the LPRH Auxiliary, member of the H. H. Happy Hoofers, official charter member of The Bubble Club, The CRS Club of America, and the International Association of the Turtles-Outer Shell Division. Bev is survived by three daughters: Diana (Frank) Anderson of Longmont, CO, Carolyn Stephens of Larkspur, CA, and Debbie (Mark) Cline of Longmont, CO; five grandchildren, and four great grandsons. A memorial service to celebrate Bev's life will be held on Sunday, October 7 at 2:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge in Parker, AZ. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Hospice of Parker.
