Ronald Scott Harsch passed away Sept. 13, 2012 at age 54 from a battle with lung cancer. Ron was born Dec. 19, 1957 in Pasadea, Calif., and grew up in Garden Grove, Calif., with parents Stan and Carole Harsch. He graduated from Pacifica High School and later received certificationas an auto technician. Ron was an easy going, knowledgeable, fun, likeable type of guy.
Starting in 1981 Ron spent many weekends in Parker, Ariz., at his vacation home. While vacationing Ron was introduced to his wife Kimberly Gory-Harsch, which was the beginning of their wonderful life together.
Ron moved to Parker in 1991 and one year later Ron and Kim married Sept. 26, 1992 at Grace Community Church. Ron and Kim shared a close relationship that was very special.
Ron was blessed with one daughter Rauni Sue and two stepdaughters Kendra and Jamie. He gave these girls his life to prepare them for a wonderful future.
Ron also was a wonderful grandpa that shared much of his love to his grandchildren Obrie, Andrea, Jolee, Cameron, Braiden, Haylee and Deegan.
Ron greatly enjoyed what he did for a living as an auto technician. He worked for Parker Motor and Bradley Chevrolet for over 15 years. 2006 was when he fulfilled his dream by opening Ron's Automotive near the Parker Strip. Many people of Parker looked up to Ron as a great mechanic by the pride he took in his work, which helped him receive much respect and appreciation from all his customers.
Ron will be greatly missed and remembered by the exceptionally hard work he did.
Ron enjoyed many outdoor activities with his family throughout the year. Ron spent most of his time in the winter in the desert when he camped at Shea Road, road his motorcycle, and went to the Desert Bar to enjoy the live bands.
He was always the handy man that all the kids could depend on to make sure the desert toys were running correctly. During the summer Ron spent most of his time boating, skiing, floating from Parker Dam, and beaching at the Sandbar. Ron taught Rauni Sue everything she needs to know to keep his family outings continuing from this day forward. He will be greatly missed by all that he did for his family and friends.
Church was a dedication for Ron during the days following his diagnosis. He was devoted to his faith at the Grace Community Church in Parker, Ariz. One day before the incident that led to his passing, Ron was baptized by the Grace Community Church.
