SCHEIDT, Robert Jonathan

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Wednesday, October 10, 2012 Robert Jonathan Scheidt, 58, passed away at home on Oct. 2, 2012. He was born in Lynwood, Calif., on Jan. 9, 1954, to Peggy Ann Getchell and Robert William Scheidt, both deceased. He grew up in Prescott, Ariz., and graduated from Prescott High School. He enlisted in the Army and in 1984, received an honorable discharge as a Second Lieutenant Armor Unit Officer from Ft. Knox, Ky. He was employed with High Country Transport when cancer struck. He leaves behind his wife Rita of Cortez, Colo.; his sisters, Cathy (Carl) Weatherford of Fall River Mills, Calif., and Lisa (Wade) Spanial of Reno, Nev.; a brother, Tom Getchell of Carson City, Nev.; nieces Ginger, Sherrie and Abigail; nephews Carl and Chas; and many dear friends all over the country. Cremation has taken place with a military memorial service planned for a later date. A memorial in his name is being planned.
