Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Friday, October 12, 2012 - Kenneth P. Dodson, 73, after a hard battle with Alzheimer’s, passed away Oct. 9, 2012 at the Polidori House in Lake Havasu City with his wife and soul mate Allyson by his side. Born to Ray and Velma Dodson on Dec. 11, 1938 in Hawthorn, Calif., he was a graduate of LaPuente high school in 1956. Ken and Allyson were married in Upland, Calif. on March 18, 1978. He was the owner of Certified Locksmith and a member of Havasu Classics and Pickups, Ltd. He loved his old 1956 Ford pickup. Ken and Allyson were in many car shows and won a lot of trophies. They loved to go camping and antique hunting. Most of all Ken loved his family, his sons and daughters and had a great joy and many special moments with his grandchildren. Two years ago he was blessed with his first great granddaughter Ally. He was a great husband, father and grandfather and friend. Ken will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Allyson of Lake Havasu City; daughters, Shelly (Dan Jensen) Bartholomae of Lake Havasu City and Teri (Glenn) Stull of Beaumont, Calif.; sons, James Dodson of Upland, Calif., William (Barbie) Dodson of Mira Loma, Calif; granddaughters, Jasmine (Will) Seals, Redlands, Calif., Aleena Stull, Beaumont, Calif; grandsons, Zack Bartholomae, Lake Havasu City and Cory Dodson, Mira Loma, Calif. and great granddaughter Allyson Rose “Ally” Seals, Redlands, Calif. The family would like to thank Hospice and the Polidori House for all of their help. Also thanks to Gayle Sacco, Ken’s sister-in-law for being there through it all; to Mary and Joy Carter for giving Ken his last hurrah! And to all the kids for coming out from California and all the many phone calls of encouragement.
