Richard Raymond Hentges, 67, passed away on Sept. 27, 2012 at Banner Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born to Alex and Luella Hentges on Jan. 1, 1945 in St. Joe, Minn. He graduated from high school in 1962 in Jordan, Minn. He then apprenticed in carpentry for four years. He moved to Colorado in 1980 and on to Arizona in 1990. He loved snow mobile-ing in the winters of Minnesota, 4-wheeling in Arizona and hunting and fishing whenever he got the chance.
Richard lived in Lake Havasu City for 22 years, was a retired construction contractor, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the Elks Club and the NRA.
He was a kind hearted hard worker with a great smile. He will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Laurie Hentges, Lake Havasu city; daughter, Sheri (Jim) Bell and their son, Warren, University Place, Wash; son, Jeff (Kris) Hentges, Las Vegas, Nev.; brothers Joseph (Diane) Hentges, Shakopee, Minn; Myron (Peggy) Hentges, Montgomery, Minn.,and Michael (Monie) Hentges, Shakopee, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alex and Luella Hentges.
