Gladys Irene Welch Born in Lawrence County, Missouri on May 26, 1918. Departed on Sept. 22, 2002 and resided in Camp Verde, Ariz. Gladys Irene Welch, 84, of Camp Verde, died on Sunday, September 22nd. She was born in Lawrence County, Missouri on May 26, 1918 to Lee Roy & Marie R. (Faulkner) Gipson. Mrs. Welch was a homemaker and a devoted Mother to her six children. She was also an Avon representative for many years. Mrs. Welch was a member of the Southern Baptist Church. She is survived by four daughters: Marilynn Horne and Sharon Dunaway both of Camp Verde, Valarie Davis of Phoenix and Laurie Howell of Ontario, California; a son: Ernest Welch of Pinedale, Arizona; sisters; Mardeen Bones and Clara Aldrich both of Phoenix; Jean Kett of Prescott; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Hez Lee Welch in 1989 and a son: Leon Welch in 1999. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 26th at 10:00 a.m. in Clear Creek Cemetery, Camp Verde, Ariz. Westcott Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
