West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Tuesday, October 16, 2012 Kathleen Williams-Lennon, 84, of Buckeye died Sept. 14, 2012, in Buckeye. Mrs. Williams-Lennon was born Oct. 21, 1927, in Birkenhead, England. She worked as a nurse. She is survived by one daughter, Theresa Burns; one son, Billy Williams; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was raised in a family of 11 children near Liverpool, England. She started her first job at age 14 during World War II. She married Sidney Williams and raised three children. In 1985 she took early retirement and moved to Texas, then to Arizona in 1987, settling in Buckeye. She worked for many more years as a caregiver in Buckeye. She was an animal rights activist and saved lost or abandoned animals and birds. Memorials can be sent to the Arizona Humane Society at www.azhumane.org. Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Friday at Ganley's Buckeye Funeral Home, 104 Baseline Road in Buckeye.
