SAUSEDO, Charles Adolph


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Tuesday, October 16, 2012 - Charles Adolph Sausedo passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012 in Lake Havasu City at the age of 88. Charles was born June 3, 1924 in Los Angeles, Calif. to Adolph and Evelyn (Bruce) Sausedo. Charles proudly served his country during World War II, serving in the 43rd infantry division. He enlisted March 19, 1943 and was honorably discharged Oct. 16, 1945. Among the decorations he received were the Purple Heart, the Silver Star and the Bronze Star. Following his military service, Charles worked for the Talley Machine Manufacturing followed by the Manlove Manufacturing Company. He then entered the defense/aerospace industry beginning as a quality assurance specialist and retired as the supervisor of Quality Control for the Northrop Corporation. Charles and his wife Carlota made Lake Havasu City their home 16 years ago moving here from Alhambra, Calif. Charles enjoyed golfing but his main hobby was photography. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Carlota; son, Charles H. (Hannalore) Sausedo, of Simi Valley, Calif.; daughters, Cynthia S. Philpot and Sonja Y. Sausedo, both of Lake Havasu City; grandchildren, Brian Philpot, Stephanie White and Charles Sausedo; and great-grandchildren Leila, Leland and Alana White.
