Camp Verde Bugle, Camp Verde, Arizona Sunday, February 01, 2009 Nellie Dows, 83, of Cottonwood died Jan. 29. She was born July 26, 1925 in Brooklyn, Iowa, the daughter of Ray and Nellie Kann. She was a homemaker and mother. Her interests included traveling, golf, bridge and pinochle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Dows, a son, Peter A. Dows and a grandson, Brent Brees. Mrs. Dows is survived by a daughter, Susan Brees; a brother Melvin Kann; a grandson Cameron (Kristen) Brees and a great-grandson, Tracy of Camp Verde. A graveside service will be held Tuesday Feb. 3 at Cottonwood Cemetery, Cottonwood, Ariz., at 11 a.m..
