Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona, August 11, 2001 Fred Blasko Fred Blasko, 74, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001, at the Verde Valley Medical Center in Cottonwood. Mr. Blasko was a summer resident of Flagstaff and a winter resident of Lake Havasu City. He served in the Navy during World War II, then attended University of Pittsburgh. He retired from the General Motors in 1978. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge, Lake Havasu Yacht Club, Knights of Columbus, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Havasu Regional Hospital Auxiliary. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake church choir in Lake Havasu City and the St. Pius X choir in Flagstaff and also performed for the Drury Lane Theatre group. Mr. Blasko's survivors include his wife Lee Blasko; daughter Pamela Mannitou of Denver; son Mark Blasko of Susanville, Calif.; brothers Larry Blasko of West Lake, Calif. and Max Blasko of Clearwater, Fla.; sisters Julia Smith of Charleroi, Pa., Barbara Eagle of Albuquerque and Eleanor Peterson of Albuquerque; and three grandchildren. Services are scheduled for Monday at 10 a.m. at the St. Pius X church in Flagstaff and at Our Lady of the Lake church in Lake Havasu City Saturday at 11 a.m.
