Treptow, age 82, a 7-year resident of Bullhead City, Ariz., passed away Friday, October 12, 2012, at the Western Arizona Regional Medical Center in Bullhead City. He was a Sargent in the Marine Corp. during the Korean War. James is survived by his wife, Norma; two daughters, Luanne (Clay) Visser, of Ada, Minn., and Patricia (Gordon) Sprattler of Fargo, N.D.; brother, Robert (Betty) Treptow of Sioux City, Iowa ; two grandchildren; his newly born great-grandson, who was named after him, Bennit James Visser; and his fury friend, Shu II. A rifle salute will be presented at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 26, 2012, at the Avenue of Flags on the peninsula of the Colorado River, on Clearwater Drive in Bullhead City. Marine friends will stand guard. A Celebration of Life will follow in the Longridge Park clubroom at 2960 Silver Creek Road, (corner of Parkway and Silver Creek Road). Lunch will be served.
