Arizona Wakelin Bradshaw Chapel, Prescott Valley, Arizona Gladys Marie Bassett (June 30, 1930 ~ October 20, 2012) Gladys Marie Bassett, 82, died Saturday October 20, 2012 at home with family in Prescott Valley. She was born June 30, 1930 to Claude & Simmie (Kelley) Hyche in Birmingham, Alabama. She is survived by her son Cyril Ernest (Jacque Lee) Bassett of Phoenix, AZ; daughters Marjorie Elizabeth (Stephen Thomas) Kaine of Prescott Valley, AZ; Caudia Elaine (John Patrick) McGuire of Wheatridge, CO; and Robin Eileen (Gregory) Jones of Fremont, CA; brothers Edison (Jeannie) Hyche of Austin, TX; Stan (Dorothy) Hyche of El Paso, TX; and Mason (Eula) Hyche of Green Forest, AK; grandchildren Amy, Patricia, Tasha, Katie, and Rebecca; great-grandchildren Andrew, Tyler, Jessica, Brittney, and Samantha. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, parents and daughter Gladys Evelyn Bassett, brothers Carol (Audrey) Hyche of Birmingham and Cecil (Dean) Hyche of Tennessee, and sister Louise (Alan) Jones of Washington. Gladys was a member of the 1st Lutheran Church of Palo Alto and enjoyed flowers, sewing and cooking, children, collecting, her dog Buddy, traveling, and gardening. She was proudest of her husband and children, her marriage and her entire family.
