Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Thursday, October 25, 2012 12:01 am | Updated: 8:00 pm, Wed Oct 24, 2012 - Ronnie Eugene Sparks, 52, passed away suddenly Friday, October 19, 2012. He was born March 16, 1960 in Bloomington, Ill to Dela and Joyce (Dodson) Sparks. Ronnie graduated from high school in Republic, Mo. He then joined the U.S. Army and served at Fort Leonard Wood. On Nov. 16, 2011, he married Jean Lamoste in Hawaii. They made their home in Las Vegas, Nev. and in 2005 he started driving the tour bus for Silver State Trailways (Grand Canyon Tour Company). He enjoyed spending time with his wife, cars and shooting. He will be deeply missed. Ronnie is survived by his wife, Jean Sparks, of Las Vegas, Nev.; father, Del Sparks, of Kingman; mother, Joyce Foster, of Secor, Ill.; children and grandchildren; brothers, Donald Dittman, of Peoria, Ill., William (Jamie) Volk, of Chenoa, Ill., Dan (Malissa) Volk, of Bloomington, Ill., Randy (Ingrid) Volk, of Leitchfield, Ky. and Walter (Diane) Walls Jr., of Pontiac, Ill.; sisters, Kim (Joel) Tarmann, of Minowk, Ill., Tina Spencer, of Normal, Ill., Teresa (John) Moore, of San Diego, Calif. and Tammara (Paul) Castillo, of Normal, Ill.; many nieces, nephews, relatives, friend and his cat, Dakota. Memorial Service will be held at Lake Havasu Mortuary Chapel on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Military Honors presented by the Marine Corps League Honor Guard, Lake Havasu City Detachment.
