Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Richard Jennings (October 4, 1925 ~ October 26, 2012) Richard Jennings of Flagstaff, Arizona passed away peacefully Friday, October 26, 2012 at his home. He had suffered from Alzheimer’s for the past several years. He was born on October 4, 1925 in Essex, England to Barnabas and Lillian Jennings. He married Georgina Henderson August 28, 1951 before immigrating to the United States of America. They lived for several years in the Santa Cruz, CA area before moving to Flagstaff, AZ in June of 1954. They became US citizens October 24, 1957. Richard served as a Conductor/Brakeman for Santa Fe Railroad for 35 years. Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years Georgina, his daughters Susan Jennings, of Flagstaff, AZ, Denise (Sharon) Hutchinson and her husband Bradley of Glendale, AZ, his grandchildren Travis Hutchinson of Glendale, AZ, and Caitlin Hutchinson of Flagstaff, AZ, his sisters Priscilla Jennings (Denmark), Susan (Peter) Lewis (England), brother Jim (Heidi) Jennings of Germany, nieces Marjorie (John) Fenner of Mesa, AZ, Kimberly (George) Hess of Halstad, MN, nephew David Jennings of Chandler, AZ. He is preceded in death by his brothers Barney Jennings of Winslow, AZ, and David Jennings of Bend, OR. Funeral Service will be held at Norvel Owens Mortuary, 914 E. Route 66, Flagstaff, Arizona 86001on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Interment at Flagstaff Citizens Cemetery, 1300 S. San Francisco immediately following the service.
