Services will be at 10 a.m. Nov. 9, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury Ave., Prescott, Ariz. Pacheco, 91, passed away on Oct. 27, 2012, with her family by her side, at the Marley House Hospice Unit in Prescott, Ariz. She was born on Oct. 2, 1921, in Jerome, Ariz., to Julio Flores and Feliciana Hernandez. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, David E. Pacheco. Angela (Lita), graduated from Jerome High School in 1940. As a young woman, living in Jerome, she was very proud of the fact that she played shortstop for the Jerome Woman's Softball team, playing other women's teams throughout Arizona. In 1952, she went to work for Mt. Bell Telephone Co. in Jerome, and she was one of the four switchboard operators. When the Jerome office closed in 1955, she transferred to the Prescott office as an operator and later promoted to supervisor. After 29 years with the company, she retired in 1981. After retirement from Mt. Bell, she was an active member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She volunteered her time on projects the Pioneer group was involved with. Angela was a very social person who enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She is survived by her sons, Roy (Stephanie) of California, Ed (Jeannie) of Prescott; brother, Bill Florez of Flagstaff; granddaughters, Michelle (Frank) Spetic of California, Stephanie (Dave) Kelly of Bend, Ore.; grandson, Austin; and great grandchildren, Kristian and Gabby. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Catholic Charities Community Services, 434 W. Gurley St., Prescott, AZ 86301 A Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury Ave., Prescott, Ariz.
