She was born January 7, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Charlene was 70 years old. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Charlene's name to: St. Vincent de Paul, 150 Fleury, Prescott, AZ 86301. A gathering of friends will take place from 4-6:00 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2012 with a Rosary starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury St. in Prescott. The committal service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery located at 2033 N. 48th Street in Phoenix. ~~~~~~~~ The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Saturday, November 03, 2012 Charlene Ann Wittman died Oct. 30, 2012, at Banner Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz. She was born Jan. 7, 1942, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Roy C. and Anna (Bishea) Matz. Charlene was 70 years old. Charlene moved to Arizona with her family 58 years ago. She married the love of her life, Gary, on Jan. 26, 1974. She retired as administrative officer for the F.A.A. at the Prescott Flight Service Station. Charlene was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she and Gary were active in numerous programs. Her pride and joy was her family, especially the grandkids. She loved sports and the outdoors and she will always be remembered for her selfless caring and good- natured personality. Charlene is survived by Gary, her loving husband of 38 years; her son, Noel (Jean) Kingston; daughters Lezlie (Ron) Adams and Jennifer (Bob) Normandin; grandchildren Laura, Meagan, Alyse, Ryan, Amanda, Hannah and Emma; and her brother Kenny (Debbie) Matz. Rosary will be at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, with visitation two hours prior at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez St., Prescott. A funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury in Prescott, followed by a luncheon. Final Commendation and Farewell will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at St. Francis Cemetery in Phoenix. The family suggests memorials to St. Vincent de Paul, 150 Fleury, Prescott, AZ 86301.
