KLEIN-STROUP, Colleen Renee

Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Wednesday, October 31, 2012 - Colleen Klein-Stroup May 6, 1964 - Sept. 30, 2012 - Colleen Renee Klein-Stroup, of Lake Havasu City and Parker, passed through God's Gates, where she was warmly welcomed by God, family and friends. Colleen was born in Los Angeles, Calif. and grew up in the San Fernando Valley. Graduated high school early and went on to graduate cosmetology school. Around the same time, she met the man who would be with her until the very end. Eventually life settled in Azusa, Calif. Then in 1998, she moved to Parker and around 2005, moved to Lake Havasu City. Still, Parker was always home with many memories. No matter how you knew her, whether from Circle K, Lake Manor Market, the hospital or casino, she always put a smile on your face or vice versa. In 2009, Colleen was diagnosed with a rare/aggressive form of cervical cancer. Throughout treatments and courageous battles, she never lost her sense of humor, or desire to live and watch her grandbaby grow. She inspired so many. Thank you to The University of Arizona Medical Center in Tucson, Ariz.; especially Dr. Hatch and the 7West Team for their help and dedication. And to so many others in Tucson who took care of Lonny and her during their stay: Wes, Dottie and Stevie Atkinson, Jan, Robin and Charles. And to Pamzilla, thank you for doing things we couldn’t. Colleen is survived by husband Lonny; daughters, Kristin (Kenny) Jones and Heather Stroup and granddaughters, Brynn and Jasmine, all of Lake Havasu; in-laws, Bob and Nancy Bowman of Ariz.; father, Allen Klein of Calif.; mother, Helen (Irwin) Butler of Calif.; sisters, Monica Schlecht and Randi Minor; best friend/sister, Robin DeLaZerda, of Wash.; aunts, uncles, cousins, numerous non-blood relatives and friends.
