HANCOCK, Loren Wayne


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Sunday, November 4, 2012 - Loren Wayne Hancock passed away Oct. 28, 2012 in Lake Havasu City, at the age of 88. Loren was born on March 9, 1924, in Omaha, Neb., to Lynn Hancock and Adeline (Schnelle). Loren proudly served his country in the Army, being honorably discharged in 1946 and receiving a Purple Heart and many other medals. He enjoyed square dancing, bowled on a bowling league and was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. In 1950, Loren married his wife, Twila, in Shenandoah, Iowa, making Arizona their home for 26 years. Loren is survived by his loving wife, Twila Hancock, of Lake Havasu City; daughters, Debbie Tyson, of Lake Havasu City and Sandy Greaves, of Yuma, Ariz.; sister, Shirley Pfeifer, of Lodi, Calif.; grandchildren, Breck Tyson and Jamie Jacobs; and three great-grandchildren.
