GRISKOWITZ, Sharron Lee

(Maiden Name: Titcomb)

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Saturday, November 03, 2012 Sharron Lee Griskowitz went to be with our Lord Jesus on Oct. 30, 2012, surrounded by her family after a short illness. Sharron was born on Oct. 11, 1946, in Milton, N.H., and was married on Dec. 22, 1962, to Anthony (Tony) Griskowitz Jr. at Pease Air Force Base. Sharron was a remarkably gifted person who would have succeeded in many outside endeavors, but instead devoted her life to her husband and family, turning the chores of a homemaker into an art form. She was extremely creative and worked tirelessly in many family businesses both in Phoenix and Prescott. Her family moved to Phoenix in 1967, and moved full-time to Prescott in 1992. With a lifelong faith in God, Sharron touched many lives and made friends everywhere she went, always putting the needs and wishes of others ahead of her own. Sharron had many interests, including attending her grandchildren's activities, volunteering for Special Olympics and traveling, but mostly spending time with her family and friends. She was active in many churches throughout her life, most recently The Heights Church, where she taught Sunday school with her daughter and best friend, Kathy. Sharron was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Titcomb. Sharron is survived by her father George B. Titcomb and her brother, George B. Jr. of Milton, N.H.; her loving husband of 50 years, Anthony (Tony) Griskowitz Jr.; her daughters, Kathy Griskowitz and Stasia (Staci) Chambers; son-in-law Brent Chambers; son Anthony (Butch) Griskowitz III; daughter-in-law Barbara Griskowitz; and grandchildren, Nicole Bernards, Ashley Beason, Taylor Guzman and husband David, Samantha (Sami) Griskowitz, Anthony (Tony) Griskowitz IV, Thomas Griskowitz, Brent Chambers II; and great-granddaughter Lauren Guzman, all of Prescott; and numerous loving friends. Sharron's life was devoted to God and her family whom she dearly loved. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at The Heights Church, 2121 Larry Caldwell Drive, Prescott. A joyful celebration of her life will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Adult Center of Prescott, 1280 E. Rosser St., Prescott. In lieu of flowers, donations made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated. Information provided by survivors.
