Bunker Family Funeral & Cremation, Mesa, Arizona Gregory Charles Groscost June 3, 1959 ~ November 3, 2012 Gregory Charles Groscost On the same day that his brother died 6 years earlier, Gregory Charles Groscost peacefully passed away November 3rd 2012, in his Mesa home of heart failure. He has fought his battle with ill health with hope and courage for many years and has been an inspiration to his family and friends. Greg was born, the eldest child, to Ken and Catherine Groscost in Provo, Utah on June 3rd, 1959. The family moved to Mesa in 1963 and Greg has spent most of his life in Arizona. He graduated from Mesa High School and attended MCC. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission in New England from 1978-1980. He was a member of the Silvergate Park Ward, Mesa South Stake at the time of his death. Greg was a painting contractor by trade. He was a perfectionist and painted many high end homes and commercial properties over the years. From an early age he loved anything that went fast or jumped high. He was an avid dirt bike rider and was never happier than when he was riding and exploring the beautiful trails and wilderness areas of the western United States and Mexico. He loved the world- especially when he was out in it! He was known to call family on his cell phone from the top of some mountain grandeur. Another passion was listening to music of all genres and he had the talent of assembling incredible stereo systems which he enjoyed most when sharing with friends and family. He was knowledgeable about many things and had many cultured interests. During his last years his sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends were a happy part of his life. He is survived by a daughter Noelle, his parents, 3 sisters – Elizabeth Carroll (Wayne), Kristen Babbitt (Joel), Amy, sister-in-law Dana, former wife Misty, many beloved nieces and nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Groscost. Services will be held Saturday, November 10th at the Silvergate Park Ward building at 1315 S. 24th St, Mesa, 85204. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. and memorial services at 11 a.m.
