Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Wednesday, November 7, 2012 12:00 am | Updated: 1:27 pm, Thu Nov 8, 2012 - Yvonne Kay Mills, passed away from complications of congestive heart failure Oct. 16, 2012 at her home in Lake Havasu City. She was 74 years old. Ms. Mills was born Yvonne Kay Tisdale March 29, 1938, in Longview, Wash., to Everet Griner Tisdale and Ethel Goldie Keene-Tisdale. Yvonne worked for Pilkington Aerospace in Garden Grove as a canopy fabricator for 34 years, before moving to Arizona when she retired. She lived in Glendale before finally settling in Lake Havasu City in 2003. She was active in several organizations including the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 4299, the Desert Singles Social Club and Havasu’s River City Singles. She loved to read, go to the movies and sew. She loved getting together with friends for potluck dinners and game nights including Mexican Train dominoes, and Bunco. She loved her family and especially loved spending time with her children. Her favorite activity was going out on the Lake in her son’s boat. She is survived by her sister, Constance Gallant, of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada; her children, Deborah (Rick) Hansen, Moreno Valley, Calif., Gregory Williams, of Oceanside, Calif., Randy (Diana) Williams, Mission Viejo, Calif., and Lawrence Mills Jr., of Lake Havasu City; grandchildren, Bryan and Lilly Cannon-Barnhart, Chris Barnhart, Caitlin Hansen, Renee Williams-Peugeot, Rachel Williams, Dionne (Jake) Williams-Lake, Kristen (Leon) Williams-Hemmen, Brad Williams and Berlin Mills. She had four great-grandchildren. Yvonne was pre-deceased by her parents; her brother, Evert Tisdale; and her son, Russell Williams. A “Celebration of Life” service will be Saturday at 3 p.m., Lake Havasu time and 2 p.m. California time at Lietz-Fraze Chapel, 21 Riviera Blvd., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403.
