West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Friday, November 09, 2012 Mary Jane Hodge-Guengerich, 87, of Goodyear died Oct. 31, 2012, in Avondale from Alzheimer's. Mrs. Hodge-Guengerich was born Oct. 21, 1925, in St. Joseph, Mo. She moved to Arizona in 1994. She was a retired post master in Fostor, Ore., and was a member of Sun City West Baptist Church, Life Time Auxiliary of the VFW and American Legion in Sweet Home, Ore. She lived at the Avondale Assisted Living Home for the last two and half years. She lived 15 years in Sun City and 48 years in Foster, Ore. She is survived by one daughter, Lenora Merkey of Quitman, Texas; one son, Robert "Bob" Hodge of Goodyear; one sister, Helen Teasley of Cheyenne, Wyo.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Nov. 12 at Lewis Cemetery in Sweet Home, Ore. Memorials can be sent to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
