SOTHARD, David Arlen

West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Friday, November 09, 2012 David Arlen Sothard, 71, of Buckeye died Oct. 4, 2012, at his home from a pulmonary embolism. Mr. Sothard was born April 23, 1941, in Nashville, Mich. He moved to Arizona in 1978. He was a retired elementary school music teacher and a postal service carrier. He served in the Air Force and Army. He is survived by two daughters, Deborah Lynn Groseclose of Scottsdale and Melanie Ruth Sothard of Tucson; two sisters, Donna Matthews of Hastings, Mich., and Martha Misak of Hastings, Mich.; one brother, Thomas Sothard of East Jordan, Mich.; and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Dec. 3 at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road in Phoenix.
