Harriett Ruth High passed away at her home Oct. 27, 2012 in Lake Havasu City, at the age of 64. Harriett was born Feb. 13, 1948, to James Francis and Maxine M. Evans.
Harriett made her home for the last 25 years in Lake Havasu City, and worked as a cashier, secretary, homemaker and an outreach worker for the Well Woman Health Check. Before moving to Lake Havasu City she worked as an assembly line worker and inspector for almost 10 years at Lockheed Aircraft in California.
Harriett served her Lord and church in various callings, including counselor in three Relief Society Presidencies, Primary President and Librarian.
Geneology and crafts were her favorite hobbies.
Harriett is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, David L. High, of Lake Havasu City; daughters, Amber Baez, of Lake Havasu City, Teresa Pelka, of Lake Havasu City, Sandrae Ashurst, of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Nancy Evangelisti, of Henderson, Nev.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sisters, Zona Englert, of Lake Havasu City, and Sharon Johnson, of Spokane, Wash.
A memorial service for Harriett will be Nov. 17, starting 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, 504 N. Acoma Blvd.
