The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 11/13/2012 Jim Tucker, 62, died Nov. 5, 2012, at his residence in Alpine. He was born June 20, 1950, in Durango, Colo., the son of Ralph Tucker and Anna W. Wilda Tucker. Jim served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as a heavy equipment operator. He worked in the mines in Colorado as an electrician. Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He loved to dance, tell a good joke and was always willing to lend a hand when needed. He is survived by his wife, Winnie Tucker of Alpine; sons: Jimmy Tucker, Prescott and Mike Tucker of Safford; stepson Travis (Shaea) Noth of Alpine; and four grandchildren including grandson Bryce Noth of Alpine. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at the Alpine Community Center. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jim’s family to help with expenses.
