Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona, Wednesday, November 14, 2012 Sandra Jean Nagiller, of Parks and Flagstaff, passed away November 11, 2012. She was born January 25, 1955 to Clara Winifred and Richard Frank Brown, both deceased. Sandra had a 30-year career with the U.S. Forest Service and served as the first female wildlife biologist for the Coconino National Forest. More recently she also worked with Northland Research, Inc as a wildlife biologist/NEPA specialist. She enjoyed volunteering for the Arizona Border Collie Rescue and served on the board of directors of the Arizona Wildlife Federation. She spent much of her time in the outdoors and surrounded by nature and wildlife. She was an avid and strong outdoorswoman who loved to hike, hunt, ride horses, watch birds, and camp. With her daughter Cheryl, she was very active in the local dog agility club. Sandra was a devoted and loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend and is survived by daughter Cheryl, sisters Susan and Marcia, brother Robert, nieces Jennifer, Lisa, Julie, and Holly and nephew Rick. She will be deeply missed. A memorial to honor Sandra will be held at 2pm on Thursday November 15, 2012 at Norvel Owens Mortuary, 914 E. Route 66 in Flagstaff.
