QUIJADA, Ignacio (Nacho)


Arizona Daily Star, Tucson, Arizona September 09, 2009 Ignacio "Nacho" Quijada passed away peacefully at his home on September 6, 2009. Nacho was born December 3, 1929 in Thatcher, Arizona to Margarita and Ramon Quijada. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lou; son, Ramon (Lydia); daughters, Elaine (Benny) Rodriguez and Evelyn (Joey) Madrid; grandchildren, Eli, Sam, Candice, Nacio and Adela; two great- grandchildren, brothers, sisters, and many nieces and nephews. Nacho grew up in Klondyke, Arizona and served in the Korean War in 1951. He retired from Magma Copper Company, cowboyed all his life, and he always had his guitar on hand. Nacho was a loving, caring man who touched the lives of many people with his music and his humor, and he will be missed terribly by his family and friends. Services will be held in Oracle, Arizona at St Helen's Church on Saturday, September 12, 2009. There will be a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. and a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at the Oracle Cemetery in Oracle Arizona. Arrangements under the care of VISTOSO MEMORIAL CHAPEL.
