BRIMHALL, John Waldo

Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, Arizona John Waldo Brimhall (February 3, 1922 - December 12, 2012) John Waldo Brimhall was born on February 3, 1922, Taylor, Arizona and 90 years later passed away in Lakeside Arizona on Monday, November 12, 2012, fittingly on Veteran’s Day. Taylor was still his home. Anyone knowing the son of George H. Brimhall and Rosetta Palmer before his military service began May 20, 1943, called him Waldo. The Army Air Force required first names only and he became John. After his World War II service ended March 2, 1946, he returned to Arizona and his wife LaRee Peterson. Their 66 years of marriage brought five children: Ginger (Glen) Ellison of Taylor AZ; Dr. John W (Brandy) Brimhall of Parker, Colorado; Sherida (Daniel) Walker of Tehachapi Ca; Keith “Skeeter” W. (Debbie) Brimhall of Taylor AZ; and Brian W. (Linda) Brimhall of Snowflake AZ. Today John is survived by his children, and 25 of 27 Grandchildren, 63 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great Great Grands and two sisters, Rosie (Kenneth) Jarvis of Mesa AZ, and Kathleen (Philip) Peterson of Mesa AZ. His wife, his parents, a brother and sister, and two grandchildren precede John in death. His military service did not include a desired pilots license, so he used his G.I.Bill to secure his dream and flew a private plane for many years. John and LaRee’s life together included a dairy, a ranch, an Idaho farm, Insurance and Real Estate Licenses, an 18-wheeler and a constant supply of animals, especially horses. John was widely known as a building contractor, “Johnny B Construction”. He built custom homes, businesses and Standard Oil Service Stations all over Arizona. His children invite family and friends to a visitation Friday, November 23rd at the Centennial Building of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Funeral Service Saturday, November 24th, 2012 at the same location at 10:00 a.m., with a visitation one hour prior to the services.
