Vistoso Funeral Home, Oro Valley, Arizona Lynn Marry Reynolds December 22, 1954 - October 31, 2012 Lynn Marry Reynolds 12/22/54 – 10/31/12 Lynn, 57, of Tucson went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Oct 31, after fighting cancer for 18 months. Lynn was born in Galesburg, IL, graduated from Joliett (IL) West High School in 1973 and from the University of Arizona in 1976, with a degree in psychology. She then worked for a year in a maximum security men’s prison as a correctional counselor. Lynn was a free-spirited, unconventional, colorful woman. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, fiercely protective of her family. She was a loyal friend, an outspoken champion for truth yet gracious and generous, a fearless advocate for the oppressed, and a very capable executive. Her boldness, tenacity and feisty spirit were coupled with warmth, and a willingness to forgive and embrace others. Lynn moved back to Tucson in 1978 and worked as the secretary for the Vineyard Christian Community. She had a life-long passion for defending the unborn and women being exploited by abortion, speaking out on their behalf on a national and local level. In 1981 she became the first director for the Tucson Crisis Pregnancy Center, served as the director of the Capital Hill CPC in Washington D.C., and became the national field coordinator involved in opening 400 CPCs. After marrying Randy in 1988, Lynn’s primary devotion was to her family, along with decades of volunteer leadership. She was the president of the Parents’ Association at Cornerstone Christian Academy and a parent leader in several positions at Pusch Ridge Christian Academy. She served on the Boards of the Crisis Pregnancy Centers of Tucson, the Kingdom Investment Foundation, and Higher Ground. You always knew what Lynn thought…because she told you. She was real, an authentic, unpretentious person who boldly said what she believed. Vivacious and fun-loving, Lynn had a zest for life that spilled over into tennis, scuba diving, skiing, and traveling with her husband and family. She loved music and sang in the choir at Casas Church. Lynn is survived by her beloved husband Randy; sons Christopher (Ericka), Jaylon, and Nolan Reynolds; daughter Renee (Robert) Maxfield; and grandchildren Katherine, Andrew, Olivia, Alexander and Elizabeth Maxfield, and Alexandria, Bryson, and Cooper Reynolds, all from Tucson; brothers Joe and Christopher Marry of Illinois; sisters Julie Falkenberry and Jill Geers of Illinois. She was proceeded in death by her parents Paul and Bette Marry. A celebration of Lynn’s life will be held at 9am on Sat, Nov 17, at Casas Church, 10801 N La Cholla , Oro Valley.
