Shelly Bartholomae, 41, passed away on Nov. 12, 2012 at the Nathan Adelson Hospice House in Las Vegas, Nev. She was born to Allyson Dodson and Bruce Bartholomae on March 7, 1971 in Upland, Calif. She graduated Upland High School, Mohave Community College and worked in sales.
Shelly was loved by all. She was always willing to give her last dime to help anyone. She collected Garfield memorabilia and had a fantastic collection. Her whole life was her son, Zack and her partner Dan. She love her dog, Duke; he never left her side. Everyone remembers Shelly for her contagious smile. She loved the holidays and went way out decorating.
A very special thanks goes out to her niece, Aleena Stull for making many, many drives taking Shelly’s mom Allyson to Las Vegas to see her. Also to Aunt Gayle for her many drives. Thanks to Aleena for staying with me, (Shelly’s mom) and helping me so much since we just lost my husband and Shelly’s father one month ago. She is in a better place now and with God, smiling that smile of hers down on us all.
She is survived by her partner of 14 years, Daniel Jensen; her son, Zack Bartholomae; mother Allyson Dodson; father, Bruce (Kay) Bartholomae; brothers, Jim Dodson, Upland Calif. and Bill Dodson, Mira Loma Calif; sister, Teri (Glenn) Stull Beaumont, Calif.; aunts, her godmother Gayle Sacco of Lake Havasu City and her second mom, Valerie Yopp, of Wisconsin; nieces, Jasmine Seals and Aleena Stull both of Calif. She was preceded in death by her father, Ken Dodson; aunt, Mary Karp and her dog and best friend, Scooter.
A service will take place Dec. 1, from 1-3 p.m. 1375 N. Bombay Plz., Lake Havasu City, with words of comfort by James P. Dodson. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to help with expenses
