Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Wednesday, November 14, 2012 - Danny Holguin passed away Nov. 8, 2012 in Las Vegas at the age of 63. He was born April 8, 1949 in Los Angeles to Fred and Margaret (Martinez) Holguin. Danny, as he was known to family and friends, worked as a truck driver for the dairy industry. He loved music, playing pool, playing the harmonica and betting on the horse races. He would save his money all year so he could bet on his favorite football team, the Chicago Bears. Danny is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Kathleen Holguin, of Las Vegas; son, Christopher Holguin, of California; step-daughters, Shelby Wirthlin, of Bellflower, Calif., Kelly Workman, of Los Angeles, Calif. and Gina Welch, of Simi Valley, Calif.; his brothers, whom he loved dearly, Fred Holguin, of Bullhead City, Raymond Holguin, of Bullhead City, Tom Sanchez, of La Mesa, Calif., and Leroy Sanchez, of Missouri; sister, Lolita Devine, of Las Vegas; granddaughter, Alexis Wufenstein, of Pleasant Grove, Utah and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Mary (Lulu) Garcia.
