Lloyd G. Holland passed away Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 in Lake Havasu City at the age of 62. Lloyd was born March 16, 1950 in Oildale, Calif. to Otto and Helen (Flud) Holland.
Lloyd was an amazing man. He loved people and enjoyed talking to anyone who would listen. He made a home and many friends at Bass Tackle Master. He had a special knowledge of fishing, often advising customers which poles and lures worked best and how to catch the fish. Lloyd also loved cars. He restored classic Camaros for his wife and daughter as well as one for himself, which he raced in Bakersfield, Pomona and Phoenix. Always wanting to be a teacher, Lloyd loved mentoring kids about fishing, cars or just about anything else. He coached his daughter’s softball team and supported his son in junior drag racing. He continued coaching after his daughter got too old. Being in a wheelchair never stopped him from doing what he wanted to do. Lloyd lived life to its fullest and now he’s running and dancing all over heaven.
Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Connie; son, Jason (Megan) Holland; daughter, Kelley (Mark) Puckett, all of Lake Havasu City; granddaughters, Kendra and Jocelyn; grandson, Matthew and his wife Charleene; brothers, Boyd Holland, Ron Holland and Clinton Holland; sisters, Bertha Bailey and Carolyn Larsen as well as many friends and fishing buddies.
Services for Lloyd will be Friday, Nov. 16, at 3 p.m. at Lietz-Fraze Chapel with Pastor Joe Merrill offering words of comfort and inspiration.
Thoughts and condolences can be sent to Lloyd’s family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.
Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
